Club’s Membership Committee and as a solicitor in private
practice, I have worked closely with John on numerous legal issues
affecting the Club from time to time and have found him to be a
quick study on complex matters, having an ability to focus on critical
issues and to present the Board and Membership with practical and
well reasoned solutions. As President of Shaughnessy Golf and Country
Club for two years I worked closely with John on day-to-day matters
as well as on major construction and renovation projects. I always
found John to be capable, efficient and well-prepared administrator.

Governors that you maintain confidences, are sympathetic to unusual

with the Club, 1982 through 1993 there was never any question of
Mr. Frantz’s honesty or integrity. At age 28 John became the youngest private country
club manager in Canada. His performance was outstanding. In 1982
he accepted a challenging offer at the London Hunt and Country Club
and managed to operate at both clubs while Essex searched for a
