brings clarity to the many difficult challenges inherent in rural
economic development. His understanding of what it takes to make
a golf course a success is imperative to a municipality like
ours. He knows the right individuals – Les
Furber for one – to open up the dialogue that leads from
dream to design. When to build, how to build, and how to succeed
are all part of John’s mantra. I believe it works. He has
put our local collective of dedicated volunteers on the right path
to see to the end of a long and difficult process – at the
other end there is light, and there is golf.

The Tsleil-Waututh First Nation economic development
department team has been impressed with John’s work with the
Takaya Golf Centre, a community-owned business. Since he began his
work with us over a year ago the driving range has seen significant
improvements. John worked with our staff to upgrade our facilities,
reduce our expenses and improve our marketing efforts. His expertise
in the industry was important to our success.
