Beef - Beef Burgundy

3 pounds top round, cut into bite size pieces
2 tablespoons butter
1-1/2 cup dry red wine
1 can beef broth
2 bay leaves
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 carrot, sliced
1 onion, sliced
6 or more small onions
1-1/2 cup mushrooms
pinch of thyme
Instructions
Lightly brown the round steak in a skillet with the butter. Transfer the meat to your slow cooker. Add the wine, broth, bay leaves, chopped parsley, carrots, and sliced onions. Cook on high for 4 hours. Add the small onions and mushrooms and cook on high for an additional 3 to 5 hours. Serve with some crusty French bread and crisp salad.
